2007 JCNA AGM |
 |
|
Houston, Texas
|
| |
OJOA was there . . .
|
OJOA wings its way over Lake Michigan, heading to theLone Star State.
That's north Chicago down there.
|
Landing approach to
Houston. This layer of clouds was marvelous to fly through.
As we penetrated the many little, puffy clouds, we really got the
sensation of moving
at about 500 miles an hour. It was like being amongst the angels......
|
... and speaking of angels..... it
amazing what you can see on the streets of Houston.
|
Yup, pardner. You're in Texas. Old Glory flies with the other proud banner all Texans hold dear.
|
The JCNA AGM is in the hotel to the right of the palm trees.
|
Jaguar has a number of cars here, too.
|
The Registration Desk, staffed by
some of the nicest people in the world.
The AGM is hosted by the Jaguar Club of Houston. -- and we thank them
for their efforts.
|
More Texan hospitality.
Hospitality staffers from Houston Jaguar Club,
with OJOA president Jeff Booth, left, are JagHouston's Sammie Cook and Marilee Belanger.
|
One of the Jaguars brought to the AGM. This late-model E-Type attracted a lot of attention
from knowledgeable people. No wonder -- it's only got 20,045 original miles!!!!!
|
One of the technical workshops: Stewe Cleave, chief judge of Jaguar Owners Club of Oregon
conducts the workshop on Judging the Ser. III Jaguar E-Type.
The AGM will votes Saturday on whether to accept the Ser. III E-type judge's guide
written and researched by Stew and others. The guide is authoritative, vast and detailed
in its scope. Thanks to all who contributed so selflessly to our
shared passion of Jaguars in creating this guide ........
|
Hospitality. Yes, and then some. JagHouston's hospitality suite starts to get busy.
Lots of friends ... lots to talk about ... and lots of happy memories yet to come.
|
Friday night's outing included a Texas BBQ dinner at the Saint Arnold micro brewery.
|
Saint Arnold's brewery is a WORKING brewery, that's why you see those huge
stainless steel fermentation chambers to the right. JCNA AGM participants
are lining up for dinner.
|
Lots to eat....
|
And, after lining up, they all sit. For dinner.
|
Now, speaking of dinner. Here y'are ... roast beef, sausage, chicken, beans, onion,
potato salad, pickles, bread and mmmmmm beer.
Oh, yeah, and big, juicy bite-you-back jalepeno peppers. As one JagHouston
member says, "It's Texas eating...."
|
Did you know that Saint Arnold is the patron saint of brewers?
And these two guy behind the bar became the patron saints
for AGM types who were in sore need of a cool, exquisitly brewed beer.
Cheers!
