Annual General Meeting

January 14, 2010 by Alan Brand

Peter Harris supervised the election for the 2010 OJOA Executive at the AGM last evening. After confirming that a quorum of members was present and thanking the outgoing Executive for their excellent performance in a difficult year, Peter proceeded to list the nominations for each position and to oversee the voting.

With the exception of Activities Director, there was only one nominee for each position, and the vote for all was unanimous. The results are summarised below:
   President   John Taglione
   Vice President     John Scopis
   Secretary     Gib Montgomery
   Membership/Treasurer     Bob Barrett
   Activities Director     Vacant

Peter closed by confirming that Fred Hill would continue to sit on the board as Past President, Brian Compson had agreed to continue in the appointed position of Advertising Manager and Alan Brand had agreed to continue in the appointed position of Newsletter Editor and Webmaster.

NOS LUCAS PARTS 1950-1980:

February 25, 2009 by Alan Brand

The following was passed to me from the TR8 mailing list:

Maxwell Thomas Enterprises (telephone 903-375-5499) is in the process of liquidating a 2 storey warehouse full of NOS auto parts, apparently mostly vintage Lucas from the 1950s to the 1980s. You can view pictures of what they have inventoried so far on their website: maxwell-thomas.com

If you want something, send them details by e-mail and they will get back to you. They say they are "just a couple of computer geeks and know little about the parts or their value", so they are listing the items on E-Bay. You will, therefore, need to provide them with the part numbers of the items you want.
